DANUBIUS-RO-2: Building Opportunities for Interdisciplinary Research in River-Sea Systems
The workshop “DANUBIUS-RO-2: Building Opportunities for Interdisciplinary Research in River-Sea Systems” aims to foster collaboration among researchers, institutions and stakeholders working on river-sea interactions and environmental change. The event will highlight emerging research infrastructures, innovative approaches and interdisciplinary methodologies supporting the sustainable management of river-sea systems, with a particular focus on the Danube-Black Sea region.
DANUBIUS-RO-2 is a national support project dedicated to the development and consolidation of the Romanian component of the pan-European research infrastructure DANUBIUS-RI. The project supports the transition from the preparatory to the operational phase of DANUBIUS-ERIC by strengthening institutional, scientific and digital capacities, expanding interdisciplinary collaborations and integrating advanced research facilities for the study of river-delta-sea systems. The project is funded through the National Research, Development and Innovation Plan 2022–2027 (PNCDI IV), Programme 5.9 – Research in Areas of Strategic Interest, Subprogramme 5.9.4 – River-Delta-Sea Systems – DANUBIUS.
